Cush it to the Limit is a federally recognized 501(c)3 whose mission is to accelerate treatment options and ultimately find a cure for rare T-Cell Lymphomas (TCLs) and other blood cancers.
ABOUT CUSH IT TO THE LIMIT
We are partnered with Dr. Andrei Shustov of the University of Washington (UW Medicine) and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center to fund cutting edge research focused on TCLs. Over the last year we were able to fund sophisticated experiments to rule out infectious causes for a particularly rare TCL, Hepatosplenic T-Cell Lymphoma (HSTCL).
Moving forward, our funding will focus on genetic research with the goal of ultimately affecting tumor behavior in TCL patients.
We also partner with the T-Cell Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation (TCLLF) which provides education about these rare leukemia and lymphoid cancers and supports patients and family members.
Cush it to the limit (CITTL) was founded by 19-year old TCL patient Ben “Big Cat” Cushing. After his devastating diagnosis of Hepatosplenic T-Cell Lymphoma in January of 2017, Ben and his friends were determined to raise funds for research in order to give other TCL patients better treatment options.
Ben died in October 2017 after a 9-month battle and 12 rounds of chemotherapy aimed at this fast, aggressive disease.
CITTL continues Ben’s fight by raising money for TCL research and working with the above organizations to ensure cutting edge research continues.
We thank you for interest and support.
